Mis Amigos

Guess I’m on a roll here! I wanted to post this picture awhile back but just never got around to asking parental permission. Anyway, these are my new buds that I hang out with quite a bit these days. Keenan, Jorgen (age 4) and Kensey (age 2) belong to my best friend, Jonica, and her husband Wes. I was feeling quite adventerous on this particular day, so I took them, by myself to Friendly’s for breakfast, and then to the park to play. It was actually a lot of fun, despite the well intentioned employee at Friendly’s who gave them helium balloons to play with before our departure. Keeping track of those balloons was incredibly exhausting! Needless to say I didn’t have time to eat because I was too busy rescuing Kensey’s hand from the syrup jar while trying to prevent crayons and butter glops from being tossed around the table. I would do it all over again. . .I mean, look at those faces!

The Graduate

Well, it’s been forever since I’ve written on this thing. The biggest issue is that I’m not very talented at taking pictures, but we are planning on getting a new digital camera soon and I hope to change that! Any suggestions Jim or Jane?

Anyway, at the end of May my mom and I flew out to LA for Josh’s graduation. We had a blast! My sister Sarah flew down from San Francisco and stayed with us in the hotel, and my dad and Catherine flew out too. Grandpah Dillman and Jerry came for graduation day and it was so nice to see them, albeit too short. It was great being together and laughing a lot. Josh and Jill look great, and of course Elizah is just the cutest ever! We are all very proud of Josh and what he has accomplished, especially doing what he has done as a new husband and new father.

This is the only real decent picture I took while there, although I do have some cute ones of Elizah too, but I’ll ask the parents before posting those. Our biggest adventure was making an emergency landing in Las Vegas on our way back. Mom and I missed our flight and didn’t get into Hartford until 11pm. We were too tired to drive back so we checked into a hotel to get some sleep. Anyway, we all made it home safely and have now recovered from the lack of sleep. I can’t get over how friendly people are in LA, although I could never live in such sprawl.

Ciao!
