August Wedding Celebration November 11, 2006

The next big event in our lives was my sister Annah’s giant wedding celebration. This was held at my dad’s house, complete with over a hundred people, chilled lobster, a roasted pig on a spit, and lots of potluck entrees brought by the guests. The day was absolutely gorgeous–sunny, windy, perfect temperature. Annah looked beautiful and totally Annah, and Jim wasn’t looking too bad either

Anyway, it was a fun day and it was good to see lots of family and friends that I hadn’t seen in quite a long time.

Long Lost Blog and France November 11, 2006

Well, it’s totally official that I am a complete slacker when it comes to this blog! I still struggle with feeling very vain in writing it, but then I realize how I wish the rest of my family and friends had blogs too so I could hear about their lives and see fun pictures, drawing me closer to them somehow.

I suppose I should pick up where I left off last time, in June. In late June we had the awesome opportunity, provided by my in-laws, to travel to Provence, France for a grand vacation. We stayed at a beautiful villa on a hillside, complete with a pool, tennis court, and lavender! The food was spectacular–probably my favorite part overall, the eating. The company wasn’t bad either–hehe. One of the highlights was getting to meet my new nephew Simon, Andy and Jane’s little one. Speaking of little ones, Jane is due in a few weeks!!! Anyway, we had a great time, the weather was hot and dry, and we got to go see come pretty cool places.
